1.  Reminder of Process, Hand signals, Temp check, etc.

2.  Last Meeting Recap:  We reached consensus on
–People’s Mic:  we will respect what the individual speaker wants
–Sat. Open Mic night
–Halloween Security—create action group to come up w/plan–Quiet Hours are between midnight-6am, and we will each be respectful of those sleeping
–Creation of on-site library

3.  Announcement: next Monday @5pm, demonstration against Wells Fargo & BofA

–bring drums, fliers, noise makers, etc.
–meet here
–there will be another demo / action on Nov 5

4. Report Backs:

Medical:  we have bandaids!

Education:  we are trying to create more diverse factsheets and need your help and help with printing!

Facilitation:  Group Mtg after GA and training will be set up soon

Events:  2pm Tomorrow Rountable about Violence / non-violence
–Ibooks will supply chairs, but could use help bringing them over

Fundraising:  still at $70

  Open Mic Event:  Sat Oct 29 3-5pm, Raging Grannies et al
–sign up or just show up!
–Johannon is designing flyer to go to churches, other org’s
–Nick White is managing sound

Scheduling:  We really need folks to commit to 3 hour day shifts to make sure we’re covered (sign-up sheet)

Media: website has been revamped
–list of needs and donation link added
–now a link to other NC Occupy groups
–stream is live
–news articles about us going up soon
–changed way events are up—using google calenders
–teach-in next week on social media

Direct Action: Bank tours next Sat and Nov 5
–Latino Credit Union might be willing to be open on a Saturday for a bank tour; also, they are willing to do teach-in about credit union
–191 $1’s OCCUPIED!  Bill Swap tonight after GA
–We will provide info about other credit unions, but we believe in using LCU since it is local

5. Tabled

6.  Agenda Items

A.  We need to do Outreach with local Justice-oriented religious groups.
–Steve read from UCCH(?) Economic Justice covenant
–We share common goals
–We should go to our indiv. churches for support
–CONSENSUS THAT WE SHOULD DO OUTREACH EFFORTS

B.  Smoking:  Please try to stay downwind of others
–avoid smoking in front of fed bldg during open hours
–don’t litter, put butts in buckets!
–let’s show mutual respect for each other
–CONSENSUS!

C.Food Calendar:  Proposal withdrawn because something is already being created.
–Google doc or calendar coming soon
–we should have fliers or info onsite to give to public about how they can help / cook for us

D.  Halloween: Final document / plan needs legal’s input, but so far
Goals / Beliefs:  maintain constant, visible presence
–respect for public space
–security cordons undermine our goals
–we recognize this is unique safety concern
–minimize conflict
–keep us safe

Some Plans:
–bring down tents b/c they are easy target until drunks gone
–Food tent remains
–10-15 folks should be here from 5pm-5am
–need to meet beforehand w/everyone who is going to stay and discuss safety, conflict resolution, being festive early on
–literature table:  smaller, move near food tent
–Full  Text of proposal avail to read
–We should have LOTS of signs!

E. Proposal to create working group to address issue of what coordination, if any, we will have with NY group, with national movement
–BLOCK:  99% Declaration is just about campaign financial reform
–Response: we would not be for the Declaration, or sending delegates, just a working group to look at these issues.
–Concerns raised that there should be no mandates, we should remain autonomous
–Question raised: Do we have contact w/Dur and Raleigh groups, and how can we help them?
–If we do create this group, need for revolving leadership
–PROPOSED AMENDMENT : working group should also communicate with other local occupations
–TABLED.  We need to discuss further.
–PROPOSAL:  working group should be created, but it collects information, makes connections with other groups, brings its findings to GA for discussion and consensus

F.  Proposal:  Do teach in w/NC Warn about Duke / Progress Merger and Rate Hike and then participation in Public Hearing on Nov 2 before NC Utility Comm’n:  CONSENSUS REACHED.

G. Announcement of occupiers:  Mtg for them at 11pm.
