o Talk on the new C.H. ordinance restricting time for congregating in public spaces. Approved 8-1
§ Approve permit 2 days in advance, without permit can only use for 3 hours
§ Events 7 am – 2 am
§ Downtown partnership board of directors passed resolution in favor of such an ordinance
§ Can only be within certain distance to post office entrance
§ Narrative of what this is
- Having lost ground after having gained in original occupation
- Town responds to 2 businesses this in context of what larger occupy movement represents, what does this mean? Question of clarity for community at large in having this be o.k.
o Question of occupation of Yates and CVS creating negative perception of occupy chapel hill and carrboro
§ Question of having our press release post Carrboro Commune action to be sent to paper as letter to the editor
o Question about CVS project approval
§ Legislative and judicial stages
§ Upcoming consideration by Carrboro Board of Aldermen
§ Ways in which occupy chapel hill and Occupy everything are seen as the same and problem of what it means for Occupy Chapel Hill to be against CVS in that context.

WG Report backs:
Outreach participated in an action at Sen Hagan’s office. There were
12 Occupiers and 38 People total. Action was regarding senate
transportation bill with Keystone XL pipeline in it. Sen Hagan was
not in town. One aide with spent 5 minutes and left. Same stock
response “Sen Hagan is concerned about our fossil fuel dependency”

WORKING GROUP REPORT BACKS:
OCCUPY HEALTH AND WELLNESS NC at HK on J: Bert gave a quick rundown of
the Occupy Health and Wellness NC participation in HK on J in Raleigh
yesterday. He also passed out the fliers that OH & WNC distributed to
marchers. The WG had two banners and about fifteen OCHC and ODurham
participants in our marching group. There was interaction between
Occupiers from Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Greensboro, and
Greenville. The WG is hoping to enlist support and ideas and actions
from Occupies all over the state.
